About the Founder
Born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in Miramar, Florida. Rev. Suzanne P. Marcellus graduated from Nova High School, and pursued a Christian education at Trinity International University, earning her a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies and Psychology. She founded House of Hope, South Florida because of a vision she received in February of 2002. Two years later she miraculously attended a training seminar with National House of Hope where, as she walked the Orlando campus, saw the vision that the Lord had shown her come to life before her eyes. At that point Suzanne knew she would become affiliated with National House of Hope.
Having been involved in ministry to teenagers and their families for over a decade, Suzanne desires to see teenagers turn their hearts towards God and serve Him with uncompromising passion, as they rise as warriors for God in these times. Suzanne became pregnant at age 16 and this would change the course of her life. Through personal experiences, the Lord has given Suzanne the divine ability to relate and understand the brokenness seen in our young people today. Her training in Biblical Studies and Psychology, extensive service as a Youth Pastor, mother of three, and wife; and most importantly her relationship with our Creator have prepared her for House of Hope, South Florida.
Suzanne is a teacher of the Bible, believes strongly that it is the Word of God to mankind. She makes herself available to speak at youth services, seminars, and conferences internationally.
She oversees the operations of House of Hope, South Florida and participates in the counseling of the families and discipleship of the teenagers. Rev. Marcellus is committed to seeing lives changed permanently to the Glory of God!
